Committed vs Settling.

Time and time again, I hear of women “settling” for something they don’t really want. Most of the time they don’t believe they can have what they truly want. Or they don’t think they deserve to have what they really want. Especially when it comes to relationships.

Our relationship/sexual desires and wants (if we dare to acknowledge them) can feel like we’re being too fussy, too picky, too pedantic or too high maintenance…or too whatever! We can also doubt that what we want even exists. Maybe it’s all just some crazy unrealistic fantasy.

And so we choose to settle.
Sometimes consciously.
Sometimes unconsciously.

It’s like getting a dog and wishing it would meow like a cat…because the truth is, you really wanted a cat. Or it’s like wanting to go to have a love affair with Italy and instead you go to China because it’s closer and cheaper, and you eat whatever italian food you can get your hands on (which isn’t every much).

In today’s episode, I share a recent story where settling wasn’t an option – even though I was tempted several times – and I ask a series of questions that will reignite your commitment to what you truly want.
