The theme, the desires and the goddesses guiding my twenty-thirteen.

The theme…

If you remember from my last post, my theme word for 2012 was STRENGTH.  It was exactly what I needed for the final phase of my Saturn Return: becoming independent and growing up.

Now that my strength muscle has had a workout and I’m feeling more comfortable and supported in my “big girl boots”, I’m ready to let my hair down and call back my wild inner child.  She’s ready to come out and play in a way that’s not reckless or careless or harmful like she had been in the past.  She’s more conscious and connected than ever before and promises that her wild ways are infused with wisdom and are for my highest good and the highest good of those around me.

So my theme word for 2013 is PLAY.  It’s the word that will infuse everything I do and how I approach the mystery of what’s unfolding for twenty-thirteen.

The desires…

I totally forgot about my core desired feelings last year.  Actually, that’s a lie.  I remembered my desired feelings, they just weren’t a CORE part of my life.  They didn’t receive equal focus and attention.  They weren’t plastered around my office or in my diary.  They weren’t on my inspiration board.  I didn’t write any of them down repeatedly.  And they definitely weren’t all used as my decision making criteria.

With that said, one particular core desire feeling played a huge role last year.  It was ABUNDANCE.  While 2012 was definitely abundant, it also felt very messy.  I realise now the importance of having ALL of your core desired feelings guide all that you do.

I spent the entire month of December working through Danielle Laporte’s masterpiece, The Desire Map, to help me rediscover my core desire feelings for 2013.  I took my time.  I soaked it in all.  I worked on it for hours.  Then put it away for days.  The Desire Map has been a pivotal process is helping me bring more soul to my goals, and if you haven’t gotten your copy yet, I highly recommend you do {click here}.

So, in 2013, I desire to feel…

POWERFUL

It’s all about: making decisions. choosing love.  facing my fears. being present. taking risks. consistently showing up. facilitating change. living my truth. leading by example.  bringing people together. hosting a live event/retreat. holding space for others to show up fully and shine their light. being organised. implementing systems and structure. asking for help. owning my mistakes.  taking full responsibility for my choices.

EXPRESSIVE

It’s all about: sharing my story. voicing my opinions.  infusing even more of ME into my yoga classes. writing love notes. a new tattoo (or 2). painting. taking photos. filling my home with art and family photos. dancing. wearing meaningful jewellery. creating love-infused products and services.

FEMININE

It’s all about: sexy lingerie. a closet full of dresses. wearing my sacred scent. aromatherapy oils. taking a nap. long showers. pamper days. flowers around the home. dancing.  massages. relaxing. kindness. self-love. breathing space. candles.  feather earrings.  crystal/gemstone rings. surrounding myself with women.

ABUNDANCE

It’s all about: generosity. weekly deposits into a savings account. dinner parties. fridge full of organic food.  thriving balcony veggie-garden. loads of laughter. give aways. contributing to a cause. helping out with yoga covers. travel. indoor water feature. gifting family & friends. taking care of my new car.

CONNECTED

It’s all about: stillness. mediation. yoga. silence. no tech days. family days on the farm. doing the school run.  attending the school events.  reading stories at bedtime. great sex.  play dates with my girlfriend. walking barefoot across the grass. retreating to the mountains. swimming in the rock pools. power posse getaway. journalling. phone calls to friends and family.  sitting under a tree.

the goddesses…

The Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards are one of my favourites (and the first deck of oracle/tarot cards I ever bought which was early 2010).

Sarasvati (also spelt Saraswati) the Goddess of knowledge, music + arts, has been with me since the beginning.  Last year I added Freya, the Goddess of love +beauty, and Abundantia, the Goddess of wealth + prosperity.  And this year, Ixchel, the Goddess of healing, is coming along for the ride.
