Milf Life lessons from Vaginapractor, Kimberly Johnson.

“Women need more postpartum care, period. You can’t keep doing everything that you’ve been doing and add a baby to it and then think that your sexuality is just going to be online. It just doesn’t work that way.” ~ Kimberly Johnson

Knowing what I know now about love, sex, and desire, there’s no way I’d have more babies without investing in some serious postpartum care. Period.

It’s a non-negotiable for me and if you too also care about your own wellbeing and erotic fulfillment, as well as your partnership/marriage, then you’d make postpartum care a non-negotiable too.

Today’s special guest is the author of a brilliant book: “The Fourth Trimester: A Postpartum Guide to Healing Your Body, Balancing Your Emotions and Restoring Your Vitality”.

Her name is Kimberly Johnson and she’s a birth doula, a certified Sexological Bodyworker and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner specialising in birth injuries, birth trauma, and sexual health.

She’s also a sexy mama to an 11yr old daughter who, as a solo mother committed to not losing her erotic identity, has navigated a lot of relational dynamics.

In this interview, Kimberly helps answer the following question received by one of my listeners:

“Lots of the research I’ve done has lead to helping with birth and parenting but not with new motherhood or how to work with my partner through this transition. I’ve always been a super sexual woman and I’m really struggling on balancing the mother/lover aspects of myself already and baby hasn’t even arrived yet! Do you have any advice?”

We also discuss:

  • How Kimberly’s sexuality has evolved over the past decade since becoming a mother
  • What Kimberly is currently exploring in the realm of love, sex, and desire
  • The dangers of emotional enmeshment and power of the differentiated Self (I LOVED this!)
  • Why you shouldn’t withhold your “code” when dating
  • The longing to be touched by a man, and creative ways single women can get that need fulfilled
  • Why investing in the fourth trimester is essential to your wellbeing and your partnership and what that entails
  • What your low libido is really about, plus so much more.
